Race Information
New Swim Venue: In order to better improve the recreational opportunities in West Sacramento, the city has built and completed a new parking area with boat ramp at the Port of Sac, in the channel section closer to the city. (South River Road and Jefferson Blvd.) It is only 1.7 miles from T2/Finish line. This new swim venue will feature a run-up to the bike of ~30 yards on smooth pavement. Note: the transition area is a dirt/gravel parking lot. Please bring a pair of cheap thongs to protect your feet as you proceed to your bike if you have sensitive feet.
Within minutes you will be riding along the Sacramento River towards the beautiful town of Clarksburg for the easy turnarounds, then back to Raley Field for a flat fast run, crossing the historical Tower bridge. The majority of the run will take place along the Sacramento River with spectacular views of the downtown high rises. All hotels are within walking distance of T2 and Finish line. Ride your bike to the swim start or have your partner drop you off. All parking must be at Raley Field finish line. NO PARKING at T1/swim start!
